Training course on the adaptive management of Mediterranean landscapes – Fontecchio, Italy
The Mediterranean Mosaics team gathered in the village of Fontecchio on 2-4 October 2017 for a three-days training course on the adaptive management of Mediterranean landscapes.
The course consisted of the following sessions:
- Landscape management and climate change adaptation: lessons learned and best practices on ecosystem restoration with a focus on water management and conservation;
- High quality agriculture value chains in sensitive high-value landscapes: procedures, best practices, and lessons learned. The perspectives of the producers and the buyers;
- Policy and advocacy tools for climate change adaptation work in Mediterranean high-value landscapes.
The program included lectures delivered by experts from Spain, Italy and UK as well as interactive sessions and group works on the topics.
The course was held at the convent of San Francesco and was attended by approx. 20 participants from ACS, ILEX and Lipu. More information on the course is available upon request.
