Abruzzo Region joins the International Model Forest Network
Saturday, October 27, at the Sirente Velino Regional Park’s headquarters in the town of Rocca di Mezzo, the Abruzzo Region signed the agreement with the Junta de Castilla y Leon and the International Model Forest Network Secretariat, so formally joining the International Model Forests Network.
Later, 15 municipalities located in the Aterno river valley, applied to establish in the valley, the first pilot “Model forest” in Abruzzo (second in Italy).
The coming step is now to develop a shared strategic plan for a sustainable land management.
