Project Description
This action purpose is to develop and share a “River Contract”, which aims to improve water and riverine ecosystems management.
River Contracts are based on an innovative methodology of water management, focused on the active participation of local stakeholders and it’s recognized and supported by EU through different programmatic line. In this perspective, our goal is to build a partnership between Aterno valley municipalities, public agencies and stakeholders in order to draw up and share an action plan for the river management concerning: water quality improvement; river banks recovery, management and maintenance; floods prevention; biodiversity conservation; community awareness and education. This planning process will produce a list of project concepts to be submitted for funding to coming Rural Development Plan (RDP) calls.
